While
working on an art degree at the University of Montevallo, Nicki Walker
Masterson took her first stained glass class. From that
moment
on, it
was clear that glass was this artist's medium of choice. She has
studied all over the country under such industry professionals as glass
painter, Peter
McGrain, mosiac artist, Erin
Adams,
and stained glass artist,
Catherine Dunn. Nicki's knowledge of design and architecture allows her
to work almost
intuitively with clients to achieve works of art that are fitting for
their tastes and setting. Her sense of color is matched only by her
ability to
take
customers' input, and present them with ideas that are far
beyond what they could have imagined. Her knowledge of the different
types of glass available assures her customers of exciting and
unexpected possibilities for their works of art.
After twenty years serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, Grady Masterson
entered the art world. His experience in metals and composite
repairs to aircraft made him a very likely candidate for stained glass
work. After stained glass classes with Alabama stained glass
artist Jinger Glasgow, and classes in fusing and reinforcement of
large windows in Chicago, he quickly
became a very integral part of the business. Grady's remarkable
teaching abilities and patience have allowed him to instruct students
ranging from 15 to 81 years old in stained glass and mosiacs.
